SANDS - A home on County Road 480 was destroyed in a fire Friday afternoon. Firefighters responded to the fire at about 3:30 p.m. at 688 County Road 480 in Sands Township. “There were flames up through the roof when we got here; the roof had fallen in,” said Sands Township Fire Chief Bill Kapeller. The homeowners were not at home when the fire started, although their two dogs were.
